"Stasis ulcer: A stasis ulcer is an ulcer (a crater) that develops in an area in which the circulation is sluggish and the venous return (the return of venous blood toward the heart) is poor. A common location for stasis ulcers is on the ankle. Stasis refers to a stoppage or slowdown in the flow of blood (or other body fluid such as lymph). "Stasis" is a Greek word meaning "the posture for standing" and is derived from the Greek "histemi" meaning "to make stand still." [medicine.net]
"According to The Cleveland Clinic, venous stasis ulcers affect 500,000 to 600,000 people in the United States annually. These ulcers occur when the veins are unable to bring fluid and blood back to the heart. Instead, the fluid pools in the legs, and ulcers develop as a result of the fluid build-up under the skin
The shallow, crater-like venous ulcer has an irregular border with a red base. The wound is open with a moist, pink center, or covered by a thick black scab or yellow fibrous tissue. A venous stasis ulcer can drain a significant amount of fluid. According to The Cleveland Clinic, these ulcers are usually found on the inner portion of the lower just above the ankle but can be found anywhere below the knee. Venous stasis ulcers can take four months to heal, and according to SkinSight.com, 25 percent of ulcers do not heal even after a year." The course of my disease has been an on again - off again situation, varying in site and severity. I had started using LIMU Original because of a previously described adverse reaction to an Unna wrap. I believe the ingestion of LIMU Original, the seaweed derivative, assisted in speedy healing of the right leg. Two weeks ago, we began wrapping the left lower leg.
My left leg was wrapped in the afternoon on Monday, I was to remove the dressings late on Tuesday for rewrapping on Wednesday (using Coban Lite). By mid afternoon on Tuesday I decided to remove the outer layer of ACE wrap because it had become painful. Due to excess pain and tenderness, I removed the entire bandaging only to discover what I considered a serious condition. Serious enough to get in contact with my therapist after hours. There was one fluid-filled blister about the size of a quarter, about 1/4 inch high with fluid on the left outer ankle. Several smaller fluid buildups were in a line down the center of the lower leg/ankle.
Along with the lymphedema therapist, I had a visit from the agency wound care specialist, and had to visit the doctor. Orders were written to continue normal treatment. I doubled up on my LIMU intake and even began drinking Blu Frog, getting as much Limu in me as possible. That first week, I alternated between the regular treatment and applying LIMU poltices directly to the skin wounds. The changes were slow. Monday, the nurse told me to stop the ointment application, just keep non-stick coverings to the sores, which had drained, causing patches of skin to slough off, leaving patches of second layer skin/flesh that needed to heal over. She was also surprised that my right foot which is usually chronically swollen appeared less swollen and no blisters had appeared on that ankle - which had earlier appeared to have minute buildup that could have erupted.
To this date, I have been cautious about proclaiming a LIMU miracle, knowing the seaweed derivative was helping. Today I can say without a doubt that IT’S WORKING! LIMU is making the difference. The changes in my leg and foot using only the LIMU are terrific. I did report my use of the LIMU poltices my healthcare personnel. On Thursday, yesterday, the nurse applied a 3 x 4 inch Mepitel patch (a new treatment) over the affected area. We covered that with a large border gauze patch with plans to leave that unmolested until next week. In the meantime, I am continuing to ingest 2-4 ounces of LIMU Original and 1 Blu Frog per day - no topical applications.
As I have stated previously, it is important to exercise caution in "discarding" prescribed drug and treatment procedures in any situation without approval. Testimony abounds regarding absolutely positive results with LIMU and I believe them. My husband and I have both experienced unexpected positives with LIMU usage, so-called "side effects."
Again, in the case of my lymphedema and its resultant venous stasis ulcers, I thank God for the opportunity to use LIMU Original specifically, without other medicines, and to view its tangible evidence of healing.

As the promoter of Limu that brought this product to Mrs Martha, I was really unsure if it was going to work for her. I knew I really wanted her to at least try it. Limu is only a nitritional suppliment. I had to get it in my mind that if you give yourself the right nutritional foods and minerals that the body will heal itself. Having people like Mrs. Martha who are willing to do what it takes to heal theirselves. I applaud. Her journey to better health will be a long one. Thank you Mrs Martha for taking on this self healing project and being my lead editor on The Limu Moss Family Blog.
